Exploring Your Story with Warmth and Curiosity
My name is Janelle Conner and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I use primarily a psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches, helping clients explore how their early experiences shape current emotions, relationships, and behaviors. My focus is on fostering self-awareness and understanding patterns to support meaningful growth. I work with individuals navigating relational challenges, and emotional struggles, who desire for deeper personal insight.
I work well with clients who are curious about understanding themselves on a deeper level and are open to exploring the connections between their past and present. Many of the clients I work with, are navigating relational challenges, emotional struggles, and/or patterns they feel stuck in. They value a collaborative and reflective space to foster growth and lasting change.
My own history of relationship challenges and past experiences deeply influenced my journey to becoming a therapist. Navigating those struggles gave me insight into the power of self-reflection and the importance of meaningful connections. This personal path inspired me to help others to explore their own stories, where they can experience healing and growth.
Clients can expect to have a safe space where they can explore their inner world. I create room for the emotions that arise during our session and encourage clients to approach their thoughts and feelings with curiosity, exploring whether these emotions are rooted in the present or connected to past experiences.
During our first session, we'll take time to explore what brings you to therapy and talk through the challenges you're facing. I'll ask about history, relationships and experiences to understand the bigger picture of your life. It's a collaborative space where we begin to build a foundation for our work together, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
